Fence picket planter boxes

It’s time for planting. My daughter wanted strawberries while we were shopping for flowers so I decided to make some planter boxes out of tongue and groove cedar fence my neighbor threw out. Hehe… Coincidentally, he replaced his fence a week after I did mine.

Anyway, all rabbeted construction. I hope they last for years. One box for the strawberries and 2 window planters for the wife. They went on our shed in the back yard. The fronts are bevelled 20°. I built those 2 this morning and they’re already filled. Yay! Now it’s time for some fishing.

Woods: cedar

No fish today. Got there just a little too late and I had to leave just as they were starting to bite again. Well, at least I had a successful shop build even if I didn’t bring home dinner.

Brian,

Wonderful recycling job! Just think of those tasty strawberries. Maybe you’ll catch some fish by the time the strawberries are ready!
