Oak entrance gate.

An oak entrance gate, made using green oak, draw pegged mortice and tenons. Finished using linseed oil

Dreaming of a sawmill, feels like a museum. Thanks for looking Adam.

One beautiful gate. Looks like it would stop a Mac truck.

Is that your house or a job for someone…..it is awesome either way! I think the pavers and the gate together are great.

Wolf (& Rabbit!) ...

I agree…the pavers really set the gate up…nice work.

It was a job for some one else he’s got a timber frame cottage and wanted an oak entrance gate and that’s what I made.

Thanks for the comments guys, I’m in the UK so the specis is Qurcus Robur or English Oak but because it’s grown in France and due to stupid political correctness I has to be called European Oak.

American White Oak was a favorite of my farthers so I will one day make a project or two in it. Maybe with some black walnut thrown in for good measure.
