Wife's surprise dining table

Editor's Choice - Jan 31, 2018

This is a dining table I just surprised my wife with. It’s 1 1/4" steel tubing frame. The patina is steel gray and antique. The wood is urban salvaged spalted California Sycamore that is inset. The wood piece on the legs is connected to a 1/2″×1/8" flat bar that is set at a 45 degree angle. Cut the same angle on the 1 1/4 square piece of wood an slid it on. She wants to keep it. #inDistressed

Looks great! Very unique. How did you account for wood movement with the metal frame?
