Easing myself back in gently

Hello fellow www’ers. Been away for a while (Not at her Majesty’s pleasure I hasten to add). Been away from woodworking too but now have the need to fill my empty house with stuff I want to make, beginning with this pair of rustic-ish side tables which can be put side by side on a Saturday night before the Indian takeaway arrives.
The thing that makes me happiest about this project (?) Is that I can put my Tandoori mixed grill on the left, chicken biryani on the right, pickle tray and poppadoms in the middle when they are placed together.
All made from pine, I finally found a shade of Fiddes Hard Wax Oil I like – “Light Oak” – it has a much warmer tone than the “Antique” and goes well with my floor.
I am pleased with how they turned out considering there was no drawing involved, just used a tape and stopped when it got to “that should be about right”. Still to come with matching details and finishes, bookcase, sideboard and tv unit.

Doing the best I can with what I've got

Renners,

They really did turn out nicely! And, yes, they certainly do match your floor well. Great job! Thanks for sharing.

Hey Mark, good to see you here!
Site has gotten slow so I don’t come here much.
Great surprise when you came up in my notifications.
Are you still working in England (I think that’s where you went?)
Hope to see you here more, I will check back more often.
Nice work on the tables BTW :)
