My 25 years old peach tree is dying. Some borer decided to feast on it and I missed the whole thing.
I bought 2 others to replace it. I am hoping one of them will survive and start fruiting next year or two.
So I needed planters big enough to accommodate them until they get transferred into the yard.
I started on it a couple of months ago and left it unfinished because I felt it was nothing to be excited about.
Searching online I found this schematic I though was easy to build
Got 1 piece of redwood from Lowes
Cut to size
Cut angles 30 degree Then rip them so I did not have to cut all angles individually. Note the miter gage is reversed so the wide board sits on the table. easier to cut.
assembled individual rings. Glue and screws
Glue 2 rings at the time. No particular reason just to be easily moved
The last 2 got the bottom Then flush cut
Permeable liner and gravels
The First tree will be transferred As soon as the weather cools down a bit.
The second tree will have to wait for it’s barrel planter
No lumber dressing, sanding finishing etc…
