Basic Jewlery boxes

“matching” jewelry boxes for my Mother and Mother in law. One is 1/4" wider and 1/4" longer by design.
100% twenty yr old reclaimed Cherry from a remodeling project at Duke University, with the exception of the walnut handles. red velvet liner. brass hinges and screws. Danish oil Finish

My tendency to over complicate and over think things was leading me to a series of frustrating failures. My wife suggested I go for basic and simple to get out of the rut. She was right I suppose (dont tell her I said that). Although these are not the most refined pieces they show the natural beauty of the cherry that I love.

Woods: cherry walnut

Tools: tablesaw planer palm sander hand drill sand paper
