This is an updated version of my box clamp that I previously posted .
The improvements are the clamping arms which enclose the strap an is also reduced to two slots which makes the strap exit on the ouside where the clamp can grab the strap and I also added a dowel to act as a hinge point to keep the arms from sliding past each other during clamping .!

The second improvement is a strap guide which is comprised of two washers on each of the eight pins this is to centre the strap and accomplished by changing the upper and lower spacer size .

The third change is the inside corner opening enlargement which now makes it possible to clamp finger jointed and dove tail joint boxes by providing the necessary clearence .

The fourth improvement is I found a way to make the strap ends the same size as the the rest of the belt and make it easy to insert into the clamp arm slots by applying a bead of CA glue about 1/2” wide and letting it dry and then trimming the end by cutting across the strap through the glued area .This gives me a nice and smooth and stiff end which is easy to insert into the slot .

All changes are made to the existing parts except for the clamping arms which I made new but could have used the existing also .

Thanks for looking

Thanks a lot for adding more projects to my overcrowded list. ;-)

Very nice. The original was good but these changes make it a great tool, thanks for posting.

I thought the first one was great, but this is even better. Gluing the strap is something that I often do with webbing or cord. Another thing that works well with certain fibers is to just touch a match to it (if discoloration isn’t a problem).
